CAMPUS RULES

Absences and Attendance
Attendance is taken in the classroom each day immediately after the bell rings. Students arriving late should stop by the administration office prior to going to class for a late slip. The only excused absenses and tardies are illness and planned absences cleared by the student's parents and administration. In the case of absence, the student will have their assignments delivered to them at the end of the school day.

Checking In
All students must check in with a supervising adult before each meal and in the case of upperclassmen, before leaving campus on the weekends and upon returning at night. This is very important, as it allows Seireitei to keep students safe and taken care of.

Conferences and Report Cards
Each parent will have a conference with the teacher in the fall. Parents may ask for additional conferences at any time. There are four (4) report periods, one at the end of each quarter; however, a conference is held in lieu of the first report card.

Health Policy
A clinic is available to students in the event of illness. Students attending school should be in good physical health and without signs of contagious diseases. Communicable diseases should be reported to the clinic so that exposure notices may be sent home to parents. School personnel can assist with the administering of medication to students only if the proper permission and prescription form is filed in the administration office. Students taking medication at school must notify their teachers and file the proper form in the administration office. All medication is to be kept in the clinic.

Off-campus Policy
Students are not allowed to leave campus without the supervision of a faculty member or in the event of a field trip or retreat.

Student Incident Reports
Student Incident Reports are issued to students when there is a need to change the student’s behavior. The purpose of the Student Incident Report is to allow for immediate communication between the home and school so the we can work together to resolve the problem. This report is not a part of the student’s permanent record, but is used by the teacher, parent and principal to monitor student behavior. Student Incident Reports require a parent’s signature and indicate the consequences of the student’s action.

If a student chooses to break a school rule, the following consequences may occur:

A Student Incident Report will be issued by a member of the school staff.
The teacher may phone the parent (especially on a reoccurring problem).
A parent conference may be set up with the teacher.
In the event of a "Severe Clause" incident or a repeating problem, the child will be sent to the office to see the Principal and the Principal will attempt to reach the parents by phone.

SEVERE CLAUSE: Students will not willfully harm another person. This means that students will not:

fight
be defiant
throw objects
disrupt the class

If a student’s behavior is so severe that it threatens safety or causes serious physical harm, the parent will be contacted immediately and the student will be removed from school.

Uniforms

The official Seireitei uniform is to be worn PROPERLY at all times during class hours, including extracurriculars and school-sponsored trips. The uniform includes:

for boys:
one white short-sleeved button down shirt OR long-sleeved button down shirt
one OPTIONAL gray blazer with school crest on breast pocket
one OPTIONAL dark blue sleeveless sweatervest OR long-sleeved sweater
one dark blue, gray, and white striped tie
and one set of gray pants

for girls:
one white short-sleeved button down blouse OR long-sleeved button down blouse
one OPTIONAL gray blazer with school crest on breast pocket
one OPTIONAL dark blue sleeveless sweatervest OR long-sleeved sweater
one dark blue, gray, and white striped ribbon to be tied in a bow around the neck
and one pleated gray skirt OR set of pants

Any outerwear congruent to the uniform worn during the winter is acceptable, as long as overcoats and jackets are removed inside school buildings. Any additional or optional pieces of the uniform can be purchased at the student store.

DORM RULES

Guests
Guests are allowed in students' rooms at any time before curfew. Guests of the opposite gender are also allowed in rooms, but the door must remain unlocked and open.

Please plan to return to your rooms by this time and no later. Lights out is at 11:00 pm Sunday through Thursday and 12:00 am on Friday and Saturday. HOUSING

→ The residence halls are co-ed, but the floors are not. Boys stay on the second and third floors, and girls on the fourth and fifth floors. The rooms are bland but big, stocked with two beds, two desks, two closets, and not much else. Bathrooms and showers are at the end of the hall.
→ On the first floor, there's a common room, as well as a small apartment for the in-residence supervising adult. Someone's gotta keep those kids in line.
→ The faculty stays in a seperate complex, with an apartment-esque layout, including living room, kitchen, and two bedrooms.
→ Everyone gets a roommate. Yay!
→ All you gotta do is leave a comment with the room number and/or roommate you want for your character.

FAQ
FAQ

Where's all the activity, guys?
We haven't started yet, and that's why it looks so dead around here. We're hoping to begin by the end of August, starting up just when our precious babies head off to school.

Where is the game set?
A boarding school in upstate New York, USA. That means the game will be operating with a North American influence, because that's what most people are familiar with. Most of the action will take place on campus, but every once and a while, students and teachers will go on retreats and be able to explore off-campus too.

When is the game set?
Today. Right now. The game moves in real time, so whatever the date is, that's the date in-game too. Backdated entries and logs are more than acceptable if you're a little slow, since one mod in particular has that problem, too. :D

How do I know if my character is a student/teacher/other faculty member?
It's really all up to you. All we ask is that your choice makes a little sense. If the mods think making Yachiru a calculus teacher is a bit questionable, we'll ask you to re-apply, but you're more than welcome to contact us beforehand if you have any questions about this.

Who can I apply for?
Anyone and everyone. Mostly. We do ask that you don't apply for anyone that was already dead before the beginning of the series, with the exception of Kaien and Miyako.

But other than that, go for it. The modlies probably forgot people on the ginormous list of open characters, so don't be deterred if the character of your choice isn't on there. Once again, any questions about this? Fire away.

Can I re-apply for a character if I've been rejected?
Yep! You can also contact the mods if you'd like to see where you went wrong before you re-apply.

How many characters am I allowed to play?
Three at the most, though you'll have to work your way up, if you catch my drift. Three logs with your first character before you're allowed a second, three more logs with that character before going for your third, etc. And keeping them all active would be awesomesocks, too.

Wait! I have another question!
Ask away here, baby. :)

CODE OF CONDUCT

1. First and foremost, an ass is what you’re sitting on right now. Don’t be one. Respect your fellow players. Disagreements are okay, but being a douche about them is not. Remember the Golden Rule.

2. No godmodding or powerplaying. Godmodding is when you dictate another character’s actions besides your own. It severely limits what a player can do, and it’s just not cool. If you’re unsure about whether something is godmodding or not, delete it (or if you’re really desperate, ask a mod).

3. Please please please. Use proper English. Spell check is your friend. Netspeak, l33tsp34k, smileys, and all that jazz is not allowed, unless it is within the context of your character’s personality.

4. Be active. We require our players to post a journal at least once every two weeks and a log at least once every month. Any less than that and it takes away from the game, not to mention it makes anyone who’s interacting with your character’s life that much more difficult. Hiatuses are more than acceptable, but only if it lasts no longer than one month. (Emergencies and extenuating circumstances are, of course, allowed.)

5. Stay in character. We all love a good dose of crack (two words: boarding school), but complete OOCness is not tolerated. And while our characters may find themselves in obscenely ridiculous situations or with severely impaired judgment, a good player can still keep them in character. The bottom line: crack is good. ICness is better.

6. Plotting is good, nay, encouraged. But before you do anything that may make us all go, “Hey, what?”, clear it with a mod. Major plots that affect multiple characters, other plots, or the universe as a whole need to be run by the mods first. If you’re not sure your plans need approval, check with us anyway. We don’t bite. Unless that’s your thing.

7. Mods reserve the right to boot any player they feel takes away from the game. That includes, but is not limited to, character OOCness, inactivity, and OOC drama. Just don't break any of the rules and everything will be hunky dory. We're not unreasonable and we try not to be bitches, so please don't make us bring the pain, okay? Okay.

8. Last but not least, have fun. This game was created for that express purpose. We are, after all, writing about a show that includes thinly veiled penis jokes.

POSTING RULES

1. Interaction between characters will happen in both logs and personal journals hosted on the school's network. Therefore, every player needs a character journal.

2. Even though we use character journals, there's no PB necessary, mostly because the game is AU, and the characters are still approximately the same age as they are in canon. (Or, at least, they look the same age.)

3. All logs are to be posted in [info]seireitei_prep. Conversely, all OOC and plotting posts go in [info]seireitei_ooc. Simple as that.

4. Posting prcedure:

Logs should be labeled and tagged. Please label logs, threads, and chats in the subject of the post, with 1. the type of post, 2. the characters involved, and 3. its status -- you can even give it a title if you'd like -- and then tag the entry with the characters first names. This is really just a favor to the mods and other players, so we can tell at a glance what the heck is going on. It should look something like this:

Subject: A Gathering of Firecrotches - Action Thread [Ichigo, Renji, Orihime] Open

Body: < lj-cut="OH OH HO THIS IS AN LJ CUT" > STOP. LOG TIME. < /lj-cut >

Tags: ichigo, renji, orihime

And you're done. Though, you may want to give a little warning if there's anything under that cut the kiddies shouldn't see.
